“Fernweh” is a German word meaning a longing for places never been. Just as the bride has a longing for her wedding day, its a place she’s never been and it's a day she will never get to return to - except through the timeless masterpieces that we create through photo and film. We want to take you to places never been by capturing and creating moments that you and your families will cherish for the rest of your lives.

Courtney Cain

Hi my name is Courtney Cain! I’ve been a North East GA native since the age of four and have fallen in love with all things “small town” because of it. I’m a Jesus lover and chaser and community dweller, I’ve been married to a tall handsome bearded name Brandon for almost Three years,I love the mountains, spontaneous adventures and I thrive on summer time. I’m a sucker for pretty flowers and a hot dirty chai for those cold winter days and iced coffee on the hot ones. I like to get outside any chance I get- be it hiking, camping or just sitting outside soaking up the sun- I’m there. I fell in love with photography from a young age and have had the privilege of photographing many lovely couples on their big day. I love capturing raw and authentic emotion and I have an eye for detail- not only artistically but also making sure your dress and hair is just right, your uncle bob isn’t photobombing your pictures and your day is moving along smoothly. I strive to go above and beyond to get those shots you’ve dreamt of and hope for but at the end of the day- in all aspects of life- I love to make people smile and as a photographer, I love capturing those real, authentic, “I can’t help but smile” smiles.

Ethan Fernandez

Hi my name is Ethan and I currently live in Athens, GA where I am studying Entertainment and Media at the University of Georgia. I also serve as the media director for Grace Athens church, managing teams to create photo and video content. In 2018, I completed all requirements to become a Part 107 drone pilot, certified by the FAA. My passion for wedding films began at an early age. Being able to give couples the chance to look back years down the road and relive one of the happiest days of their lives is why I love what I do. In 2014, I created my first wedding film as a freshman in high school and have since been learning new ways to tell a powerful story. Through my program of study at the University of Georgia, I have been introduced to many techniques and technologies used in film that can be applied to my work in the wedding industry. Having worked with Marcus, Emily, and the rest of the team on many amazing projects, I am excited to be a part of the Fernweh Collective family!
